David Österlund appointed new Head of Distribution for TV4

October 1st, David Österlund assumes his new position as Head of Distribution for TV4. David has a solid background in the distribution and technical areas of broadcast.

The distribution business plays a major role in the TV4 Group’s development of the pay and ad-supported businesses, on traditional as well new and emerging platforms.

"In an increasingly complex market, distribution becomes more important. I look forward to working with finding a balance between traditional television distribution, young platforms such as the internet, but also new distribution platforms for broadcast and vod, and developing them," says David Österlund.

David Österlund has worked within the TV4 Group for 14 years, and today holds a position as head of business development in the distribution area, both broadcast and vod. Earlier, he has held several leading positions in TV4’s technical department, and came to TV4 from a position as CTO at Eurosport’s Nordic operations.

David Österlund will be reporting to Malte Andreasson, Director of Scheduling for the TV4 Group, and replaces Märta Rydbeck, who will be leaving TV4 to assume the position as Head of Broadcast managed services at Ericsson.
