Organisation
The TV4 Group consists of TV4 AB and it's five business areas: TV Channels, Regional Network TV, Premium TV, News and Current Affairs and Digital Media that produces a large number of websites, mobile services and teletext.
The TV4 Group has a streamlined organisation, and as a market-leading media house, the company propels developments with an ever-growing proportion of programmes produced by production companies, something which has had a profound impact on the TV market in general.
The TV4 Group has approximately 1,000 employees, and engaged some 4,000 people in different projects and programmes during the year. Eleven Swedish TV channels are produced in-house, which corresponds to over 80,000 hours of television a year, equivalent of 220 hours a day. Added to this are a number of Norwegian, Danish and Finnish bacis cable channels and the more than 20 Canal+ premium channels.
The chairman of the TV4 Group board is Torsten Larsson. The TV4 Group executive comprises 11 directors and managers under CEO Casten Almqvist, who has held this post since December 2011.
The TV4 Group is part of the Bonnier group, a family-owned media corporation based in Sweden. Bonnier AB comprises some 170 companies with more than 10,000 employees in 16 countries. With operations covering most media formats, its divisions are Books, Business Press, Newspapers, Magazine Group and Broadcasting & Entertainment (film, music, radio and TV).
