In Sweden there are nearly 300,000 hunters of which approximately 270,000 hunt moose. In the live broadcast #Älgjakten, viewers follow and experience the excitement Swedish hunters get every year. In a three-day broadcast Swedish nature is shown in autumn colors with interviews, hunting passes and hopefully moose.
"Slow TV" is a program format in which viewers can follow a course of events for a long time. The previously most talked about slow TV-format is the Norwegian success "Hurtigruten", where viewers could follow a cruiser around Norwegian fjords for several days. This summer TV4 did a webcast during five days called “TV4 Båten” - a journey on a canal boat along the Swedish river Göta kanal.
- TV4 Båten widely exceeded our expectations. We received tremendously positive feedback from our viewers. Now we will follow one of the most classic Swedish phenomena of nature; the moose hunt, says Mia Lindqvist program director at Nyhetsbolaget producing #Älgjakten.
