The current COO of Canal+, Johan Kleberg, takes over as CEO of C More Entertainment/Canal+ when the company's present CEO, Jonas Eriksson, returns to Bonnier Broadcasting & Entertainment as Vice CEO.

"Under Jonas Eriksson's leadership, Canal+ has been successfully coordinated with the rest of the TV4 Group, and has strengthened its position as the leading premium TV company in the Nordic region. We are now entering the next phase, where it is important to maintain the momentum as we develop Canal+'s range of products and services in its national markets, thereby generating increased revenues. With his extensive experience in the field of television, within the TV4 Group and as COO of Canal+ in the Nordic region, Johan Kleberg is particularly well suited to lead this process," says TV4 Group CEO Jan Scherman.

"Premium TV is growing throughout Europe and is an increasingly important part of the TV industry. I am looking forward tremendously to the challenge of leading and developing Canal+ as market leader in Nordic pay-TV. Our new Country Managers will enable us to further strengthen our sales and marketing in Norway and Sweden," says Mr Kleberg.

When Mr Kleberg takes over as CEO, Canal+'s present Sales Director, Jonas Lönnquist, will become Country Manager of Canal+ in Sweden and Deputy CEO, with overall responsibility for distribution and strategy.

In addition, Steinar Braendeland is the new Country Manager of Canal+ in Norway. Mr Braendeland has long experience of the media industry, including eight years as Sales and Marketing Director of TV2 Norge between 1992 and 2000. Since then, Mr Braendeland has set up and run a number of companies in the field of interactive media and marketing services. He joins TV4 from More Mobile Relations, where he was CEO.

Charlotte Repholtz is the present Country Manager of Canal+ Denmark.

The addition of Country Managers of Swedish and Norwegian operations will enable Canal+ to strengthen its local focus on sales and marketing in the respective Nordic countries.

Jonas Eriksson returns to Bonnier to become Vice CEO of Bonnier Broadcasting & Entertainment. Jonas's time at Canal+ has enabled him to acquire experience and knowledge of the Nordic media market, which has become increasingly important to the Bonnier organisation as a whole.

"It has been an enormously enjoyable and instructive time at Canal+, and the experience I have gained will be of great use to me within the Bonnier Group. I wish Johan the very best in his new position, and am convinced that there is no-one better suited than him to drive Canal+ forward," says Jonas.

As a result of these changes, Mr Kleberg also joins the TV4 Group Management Team. Mr Kleberg retains overall responsibility for TV4 Group purchases of sports broadcasting rights.
